THIS three way is for some peeps I'm incredibly proud of for delivering some really diverse, exciting and most importantly, NEW work for the interwebs! First up, Chelsea Odufu:

Having Directed, Shot and Edited the music video for Hip-Hop recording artist and Newark New Jersey's own, Rugby, this video is a throwback to the simple stylings of what it is to focus on what, I think, is most important for an artist, which is the artist and their voice! Shout out to Filmmaker, Director, Visual Storyteller, Chelsea Odufu, well done; keep 'em comin!

Directed by J. Matthew Jacob and edited by Neil Gust. THIS culinarily delectible, sinfully sweet, and righteously rich commerical for the Tory Marsh Raw Chocolate Collection makes me want chocolate; not now, but RIGHT NOW!!! A special shout out to Mia Van De Water, featured in All Gifted: The Meet & Greet, taking a lighter role, featured in these sexy chocolate scenes! Well shot and, as usual, sickly edited; a Neil Gust special, as per usual.

Lastly, but not leastly, the throwback chick either you knew, are related to, or survived adventures with, the Hussy, Queen Hussy to you that is. If you haven't seen it before HERE IS YOUR CHANCE. Directed by Double 7 Images' Pete Chatmon, Created and Starring Hannelore Williams and Produced by Nicole Sylvester, with additional editing and graphics by Giga Shane, it truly is a webseries throwback, that is new to you!

And Finally, blessings and well wishes to the late Heavy D. A Hip-Hop Icon of the 90s, the self-proclaimed "overweight lova", the actor, music producer, artist; died this week from what seems to be reported as of late, symptoms relating to an Pneumonia. A sad way to go for a well accomplished individual. But he left us with something we can all stand by. On his last tweet, on Twitter, he tweeted: "Be Inspired". Remember that. Signing off.

Advertisers, studio executives, and television fans wait with bated breath as the Fall season line-up arrives with promise and hope. What will this season bring? And, can the returning staples keep their fan base? While it's all still very much anyone's game, there's still the looming fear of the first show to be cancelled after just one episode. Then there's also that show that keeps going, no matter how absurd you think the storylines have become.

What am I looking forward to the most?

Frank Darabont's The Walking Dead and Terence Winter's Boardwalk Empire. The Walking Dead chronicles the lives of survivors after the dead have taken over. Society has collapsed and surviving is all that’s left. It’s about what happens next, and is a look at the human condition when faced with extremes every minute of every day.

Going from surviving zombies to the prohibition era of the 1920's in Atlantic City, Boardwalk Empire follows Nucky Thompson as he navigates through his own criminal trappings and fights to retain his hold over the trafficking and creation of alcohol. The creator's use of irony and juxtaposition has already been noted as pure genius. Boardwalk Empire, still very much a Freshman show, has already won two Golden Globes, and both shows have garnered Emmy nominations. It's the first time, and I say this as a die-hard fan of many, many CW shows, that my innate tastes have lined up with the Academy. Go figure!

If you have yet to give these two shows a try, I say it's worth your time. Furthermore, second seasons are typically amazing. The set-up is complete, the characters are just where you want them, and now the show can breathe and have a little fun. The second season also brings the development of "background" characters, characters you loved during season 1, but now you really get to know them and understand their place in the story. So yes, I too am waiting with bated breath. Let's get it going!

C3's Story on Story - A Re-Cap

Good morning and Happy Friday! I certainly hope it's all you DREAMED of, as in, "yes, the weekend is almost upon thee!!!", or something epic like that.

To ease you in to the end of your day, or beginning of your night to all my graveyard shift peeps, here are some films I wanted to share.

Much props and praise to the creatives behind this piece. It took a concept of "the history of film" and made it quite frankly, far more interesting than many cinema studies courses (take note cinema studies professors, you don't have to know how to rap, but you better know how to entertain as well as educate.)

The creatives behind this movie did an amazing job because it focused on these key ingredients: WANTS, OBSTACLES and STAKES. This molotov cocktail is key because if these ingredients aren't optimized to their highest degree, your story will be a dud.[SPOILERS, watch movie BEFORE you read]

Their movie concept is also incredibly simple: a trapped woman with no memory does everything she can to escape with a new weapon she's discovered, only to learn that she's merely a pawn in a larger experiment.

Remember this fellow media makers and visual storytellers; it'll serve you well.

Summer's Eve Says "Hail To The V!"

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Thanks to a facebook friend, I was turned onto a pretty smart ad for Summer's Eve. Though I generally don't go looking for new Summer's Eve ads, (not quite my demographic), I found it spot on and fresh!

For those of you (men) who may not be aware of Summer's Eve, it is basically a feminine hygiene product, meant to keep that "special place", ie: a woman's Vagina, fresh.

Recently, Summer's Eve launched an incredibly riske' new campaign "Hail to the V", which does, you guessed it, give praise to the almighty "V", it even has a "spokesperson". Despite the critics who paint this campaign as controversial, what the hell, what's really wrong with giving praise and attention to the one area in all of creation that has helped perpetuate humankind's existence?

I love their recent creative direction, not just because it is creatively eye and ear catching for "shock and awe's" sake, but it is honestly a brand that, in my opinion, needed some serious updating. The last Summer's Eve ad I remember on television needed to be mothballed back to the '80s, and it was a recent ad!! Quite frankly, I don't like associating mothballs and feminine hygiene in the same sentence, do you??

Obviously the need to make feminine hygiene advertising "fresh" was an understatement for Summer's Eve and they did. So a special shout out to the creatives behind this campaign and making it honest, open and even funny to "Hail to the V"!!
